Nice Day For A Rooftop Party
Well it's that time again. Just 1 more show left, so that means just
one more blog left to write after this one. But enough small talk,
let's get down to business. Friday had to be a perfect night for
rooftop partying. I mean it had to be like 78 degress or something
cause it was just right for drinking and socializing. I got
there around 9 or so with my buddy Fonz who happened to aquire a newly
found taste for the "Rooftop Party". Not sure if it was the girls or
the alcohol, bands or weather, or being with me on the VIP list. But
whatever the case was he made it his 3rd trip here with a promise to
make it to the last one. So, somethings going right. Anyways, I started
off with a Bud Light to get my nervousness out of the
way..."What? Nervousness?". Yep, sometimes I get kinda nervous cause I
have to walk up to total strangers and say "Can I take your photo?".
When I do this I usually tell them what it's for and where it will be
and some of the girls think this whole charade is a pick up line of
some sort...ha. If it is, it's a pretty good one. But nonetheless they
believe me and the picture taken begins:

But, before I forget. I gotta thank everyone who volunteers and
works the events. I've had the pleasure to meet a few and I gotta
say..."Nice people all around". So, great job Dwight and Valerie and
all the people I haven't mentioned...hmm, maybe I'll dedicate part of
my last blog to "The People of The Peabody". hey, that's kinda catchy!:

So, enough of last week...what about this week. Well, since this is
the last Rivertop Party...YOU GOTTA COME! I mean this is it! no more
till next year! That's along ways away...a whole year. Ok, enough of
that. So yeah you gotta come since the Big John Miller Band will be playing and this is what you'll be in for:
Big John Miller is a man possessed by rhythm, grooving as
the spirit moves, speaking in the tongues of Soul, spontaneously
evoking the muse that moved both the Delta and Detroit. Big John's
gonna make you join in the hip-shaking chorus and be a witness for that
low-down funk.
So bring your boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, friends of friends...I mean tell everyone so we can send this ship off right.
Oh! And in case I don't see ya'! Good Afternoon, Good Evening, and Goodnight!
Anthony
