The sunset on the River
This is an awsome way to start off a TGIF. After work on Friday I am
going to watch the sunset on the rooftop at the Peabody. I am looking
forward to getting my Friday started a little earlier with drinks my
friends some live music and the best view in Little Rock.

Hangin' Out

Sean and Mike soak up the atmosphere. And the alcohol.
Hey
man, if the music's too loud, you're too old! So with Dr. Zarrs blaring
out 70s and 80s funk and rock and the background, partygoers loosened
up and shot the breeze on the windy veranda. Sean Dunbar of Arkansas Business Publishing Group and Mike Ortega of FLEX360
take a break from a surely fascinating discussion on international
domestic policy or, more likely, beer and baseball, to put on their
best Soiree faces for the paparazzi.

proverbial freak on.

Band on the Run

Paging Dr. Zarrs ...
We're not sure exactly what Dr. Zarrs of Dr. Zarrs and the Amazing Funk Monster
has his doctorate in -- maybe unbuttoned lame' shirts, towering wigs,
or cucumber-stuffed spandex? -- but regardless of his academic
credentials, the dude can seriously jam, as this fuzzy picture can
attest. Zarr and the boys kicked out some old school funk and '80s
shlock rock at the Peabody Little Rock last week, sounding surprisingly
energetic despite bangin' out the hits the previous night in Memphis.
Let's face it: any group of dudes who show up looking like a Bowling for Soup video already deserve props for sheer audacity. But when they dropped the funk, we knew there was plenty of steak under the sizzle.

A Brave New Scene
Never has such a cast of characters been assembled to promote
something so pointless, so ephemeral, so fun. A "dream team" of UCA
students, central Arkansas local celebs, media elite, eye candy and
aging frat guy public servants are hell bent on creating a new scene on
the westside of downtown.
I'm ready to hang out with the "beautiful people" and I won't be
happy till I make out with the Watson's chick... or a weather babe...
or Miss Arkansas............ or David Bazzel.
